Therapeutic Counselling | Grief Support | Breathwork

My Path

My work is deeply informed by my lived experience.

I have navigated long-term chronic health challenges in the realm of Lyme Disease, CIRS and bio-toxin illness; alongside profound initiation into grief and loss. These experiences are what I consider rough initiations and have invited me to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with the essence of my BEING. Through this process, I came to understand both grief and love as powerful teachers, guiding me into a deeper relationship with myself, others, nature and the cycles of death and re-birth.

I believe much of the pain and aggression that we see in the world today is rooted in unexpressed and unprocessed grief and trauma. We are living in a time where it is essential to create spaces that are safe enough for people to feel, to gather, and to honour both their grief and their love.

My work is grounded in deep listening, attunement, and a remembering of our roots. I draw from both modern therapeutic approaches and ancient practices—ritual, breath, movement, sound, and circle—as ways of supporting connection, healing, and integration.

At the heart of it, I offer a compassionate and authentic presence—one that welcomes the full spectrum of the human experience, and creates space for people to feel seen, heard, and known.

Training and Experience

I began my career as an educator, teaching both children and adults. My path deepened while supporting a child navigating life-threatening health challenges—an experience that opened me more fully to the depth of care and love that now informs my work.

I went on to spend three years working in hospice care, offering grief counselling, developing programs, and supporting individuals and families with advance care planning.

This work led me to formal training in somatic and therapeutic modalities with Clarity Breathwork, the Boulter Method and Numa Somatics. I completed a three-year diploma in Transpersonal Psychology and Counselling and am now a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. I am also a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider (2023) and Certified Grief Educator (2024), and have completed an apprenticeship in grief tending with Francis Weller, along with a year-long training in grief ritual facilitation.

Today, I work in private practice with a focus on somatics, grief and bereavement, and ritual-based care. I also offer yearly retreats in Costa Rica in collaboration with colleagues from around the world, as well as monthly grief gatherings and weekend events.

Outside of my professional work, I am deeply connected to the natural world and to ways of living that support cultivating meaningful relationships —with self, others, and the more-than-human world.

I am a lover of beauty (all things pink), connection, adventure and aliveness. I value time in places that remind us of our place in the world—whether that’s by the ocean, in the forest, or in quiet moments of stillness. I believe in taking healthy risks, staying curious, and remembering to play.

I am passionate about regenerative ways of living and being—supporting healthy communities, honouring the land, and exploring what it means to be in right relationship with both life and death. Collaboration and co-creation with like-hearted people are central to both my personal life and my work.

In my own life, I find joy in simple and nourishing moments—poetry that moves my soul, time with my dog Tucker, being by the river at our family acreage, tending to the garden, moving and breathing, and spending time in the sun (in Costa Rica especially). I also deeply value my long-term partnership and I will forever be a student of love.
